Deadpool out to destroy

MOVIE REVIEW with SHUPE SAKALA
Title: Deadpool
Genre: Action/adventure
Director: Tim Miller
Time: 1 hour 40 minutes

RYAN Reynolds graces us with his talent and humour this week as Deadpool comes to the big screen.
Famous for his roles in movies like The Proposal, The Change Up, Safe House and Paperman, it is not the first time we’re seeing him as a superhero.
Reynolds, a versatile actor, starred in the 2009 Science fiction /action X-Men origins: Wolverine.
This time he features in the action movie based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero.
Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who, after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool.
Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humour, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
A thoroughly enjoyable movie, Deadpool will take you on a journey of ups and downs.

On a lighter note, if you love romantic comedy movies, then this is the movie for you not to miss.
When a young woman searches for love in New York City, a myriad of things could happen.
Based on the novel of the same name, an author writing a book about bachelorettes becomes entangled in an international affair while conducting hands-on research abroad.
The author and her friends are single New Yorkers who would all much rather be in committed relationships. On a whim, Julie, the writer, decides to write a book about the experiences of single women around the world.
She takes a leave of absence from her job as a publicist, jets off to France, and encounters a man named Thomas, who is in an open marriage. Even as she continues her travels to other countries, Julie longs for Thomas, who meets up with her again in Bali, jump-starting a torrid affair.
While Julie is off seeing the world, her friends are back in New York, growing closer to each other as their lives develop in wild ways.
Co-produced by renowned actress Drew Barrymore, this chick flick will tickle your funny bone more so with the likes of actress Rebel Wilson, well known for her roles in many comedies like Bridesmaids and the Pitch Perfect trilogy.
