Daniel Baron to come for Game Rangers

KELVIN KACHINGWE, Lusaka
AFTER THE EleFest last weekend in the Lusaka Showgrounds, Game Rangers International have another fundraiser this month at Baobab School in Lusaka that will be graced by South African award-winning and chart-topping singer Daniel Baron.
The show, on June 20, will also feature Cactus Agony, Sebastian Dutch, Diamond White and Bright and Stick.
Game Rangers International aims at helping the communities living around the Kafue National Park to better manage the natural resources of the area through support to wildlife management and protection and community outreach and education.
With a focus on the flagship African Elephant species, it currently implements projects that together take a holistic approach to the problems of conservation and development, rooted in the belief that the key to sustainable, long-term utilisation of Zambia’s natural wealth is best achieved by ensuring the full participation of its citizens in managing these vital, internationally important ecosystems.
Well, elephants may be the reason for the music at Baobab on June 20, but focus will also be on the performances by the artistes.
Daniel may not be that widely known in Zambia, but he is certainly big in his home country.
He is known for crossing over genres with inspiring stadium-size rock anthems, meaningful piano ballads and edgy electro-infused pop tunes that have taken South Africa by storm.
