‘COVID-19 to hit agricultural value chain’

WHILE restrictions are necessary to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), disruption of open trading activities is likely to affect the agricultural value chain, stakeholders say.
Zambia National Farmers Union (ZNFU) media liaison officer Calvin Kaleyi said most farmers will now be hesitant to move their produce to markets and other trading places to avoid catching the coronavirus.
