Court to solve puzzle on Mayuka’s money

AN ACCOUNTANT and a bank teller allegedly connived and withdrew almost K100,000 from the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations tournament top scorer Emmanuel Mayuka’s bank account without his consent while he was abroad. The withdrawals, in batches ranging between K17,000 and K20,000, were done in 2017, while the striker was in Egypt, where he played in the Egyptian Premier League. Mr Mayuka, 32, was alerted about the questionable transactions on his account by his relationship manager at the bank, Simon Kasempe. Investigations into the matter led to the arrest of two bank employees, who allegedly committed the crime by forging some documents.
