ZAMBIA Medicines Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) has asked the Lusaka High Court to dismiss a case in which Honeybee Pharmacy Limited sued it for revoking its pharmaceutical licence.
ZAMRA argues that the lawsuit should be struck out because Honeybee Pharmacy Limited has no right or capacity to sue it in relation to issuance of the licence.
“The plaintiff has no locus standi in relation to the pharmaceutical licence as the same was not granted to the plaintiff.
“Thus its [Honeybee’s] claim for an interim injunction to restrain the defendant from revoking the pharmaceutical licence should not be entertained,” ZAMRA has submitted.
