Council polls in low turnout

VOTING in the district council chairperson elections in Mushindamo in North-Western Province started on a low note with most polling stations recording a low voter turnout by midday.
Mushindamo district electoral officer Samuel Lumpa said voting in all the 36 polling stations with 28,000 registered voters started at exactly 06:00 hours.
“The voter education facilitators have been telling us that people are saying they were just from voting and so they are tired but we had to go back to them to re-educate them so we expected a good turnout,” he said.READ MORE
