‘Council has duty of service delivery’

NDOLA’S first elected executive mayor Amon Chisenga says it is the city council’s responsibility to ensure service delivery for its residents, and the people expect the local authority to deliver in the coming five years.
In a post-announcement interview, after district electoral officer Ernest Sumani declared him winner of the mayoral election on Saturday, Mr Chisenga said the vote means the people of the city want service delivery.
Mr Chisenga of the Patriotic Front (PF) polled 79,551 votes, from the four constituencies in Ndola against Daphane Chabu of the United Party for National Development (UPND), who managed 37,647.READ MORE
