Letter to the Editor

Copperbelt University students should show true repentance

Dear editor,
I THINK the recent appeal by Copperbelt University (CBU) students for forgiveness for damaging public buildings at the campus does not come from their hearts.
They should first of all tell the country who the main actors or sponsors were.
They must also be aware that the insults hurled at Minister of Higher Education Nkandu Luo also went to their own parents or guardians.
They should also apologise to them.
A mere apology to the owner of Fountain Restaurant is not enough.
They should pay for all the goods and property they either stole or damaged.
CBU management, you have a chance to bring your institution to sanity.
