Copperbelt in 1.5 million mosquito nets

PROVISION of mosquito nets has been a significant part of Zambia's strategy of fighting Malaria.

GOVERNMENT has dispatched 1.5 million insecticide treated mosquito nets to the Copperbelt Province to be distributed to various districts in the province to protect people from malaria.

The distribution exercise has since started in the province and is progressing well.
Copperbelt provincial medical officer Consity Mwale said in an interview yesterday the Ministry of Health wants to meet its target of eliminating malaria by 2021 through the distribution of treated e mosquito nets.
