Copperbelt bodybuilders impress Mkandawire

ZAMBIA Body Building and Fitness Federation (ZBBFF) president Danny Mkandawire is impressed with the standards of the sport on the Copperbelt.
Mkandawire said in an interview after last Saturday’s Mr Copperbelt Energy Corporation contest in Kitwe that the standards of the sport on the province have kept improving over the years.
“I think going forward, Copperbelt will be producing good bodybuilders. The sky is the limit,” Mkandawire said.
The ZBBFF has since allocated Copperbelt five slots in the team that will represent Zambia during this monthend’s Southern Africa Bodybuilding Championship billed for Lusaka.
The region boasts of newly-crowned Mr Copperbelt Energy Honest Muyupi Ben Chama, Patrick Nyondo and Joseph Njovu among others.
Mkandawire said six countries have so far confirmed participation for the event slated for September 26 at Taj Pamodzi Hotel.
Botswana, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe and hosts Zambia have confirmed confirmation.
