THE Small Scale Farmers Development Agency (SAFADA) has advised farmers to continue with maize production to ensure food security despite persistent challenges in pricing.
SAFADA director Boyd Moobwe said small-scale farmers are important to attaining food security and ending hunger in the country.
Food security is a condition in which all people, at all times, have physical, social and economic access to sufficient, safe, nutritious food to meet their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life.
Mr Moobwe said strengthening farmers’ organisations and cooperatives can empower them to become partners and participate in national development by ensuring food security http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
