Construction of new KKIA on course


MINISTER of Works and Supply Ronald Chitotela says the new Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (KKIA) terminal will increase the passenger handling capacity to five million from the current 1.1 million travellers annually, when the project is completed.
Speaking when he inspected construction works at the new KKIA terminal project site yesterday, Mr Chitotela said enhanced airport infrastructure is an engine to economic development.
“In terms of airport infrastructure upgrade, we have a vision to become a hub in southern Africa. Once completed, the facility will enrich Zambia’s connectivity with other countries, especially that we are geographically surrounded by eight neighbouring countries,” Mr Chitotela said.READ MORE
