Construction of 1,000 houses starts

GOVERNMENT has embarked on an ambitious project to construct 1,000 houses for the Zambia CorrectionalServices country-wide to bridge the shortage of accommodation for officers under the security wing.
AVIC International is the contractor engaged to construct the houses.
Speaking during a ground-breaking ceremony at Mukobeko Correctional Camp in Kabwe yesterday, Minister of Home Affairs Davies Mwila said Government is on track to address accommodation challenges for officers in the security wings.
