I WISH to congratulate Napsa Stars over their deserved 3-1 victory against Nakambala Leopards yesterday.
Napsa, who came from behind in subduing Nakambala at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka, have climbed to 14th position on the log with 39 points, overtaking Nakambala Leopards and Lumwana Radiants.
This was Mohamed Fathy’s seventh win since taking over from Elijah Chikwanda.
Fathy has drawn eight times, losing two, scoring 17 goals and conceding five.
This is a phenomenal record for the Egyptian gaffer who inherited the National Pension Scheme Authority-sponsored team which was second from the bottom with a paltry 10 points.
Napsa’s turn around points to the inspired leadership of its director-general Hollard Kachinda, whose passion has helped the team to rise meteorically on the log.
The appointment of a board led by visionaries Zingani Phiri and vice-chairperson Greg Nsofu, the director IT in NAPSA, has done wonders in giving the team direction it desperately needed to survive.
Napsa should build on this solid foundation in the remaining games and start the 2019 season firing from all cylinders.
Once again, congratulations Napsa Stars.
