THE first batch of athletes yesterday left for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games bubbling with confidence of reaping medals.
The event gets under way next Wednesday.
Among the athletes that left yesterday were boxers, swimmers, badminton, table tennis, squash and bowling players.
