Come back to PF, Livingstone MP tells ex members

SHIKANDA KAWANGA, Livingstone
PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Livingstone Central member of Parliament Lawrence Evans has urged party members who left to join other political parties to consider rejoining the ruling party as the country goes to the tripartite elections next year.
And Mr Evans has donated an eight-tonne truck worth K560,280 to the party in Livingstone towards party mobilisation ahead of the 2016 tripartite general elections.
He unveiled the truck to the district and constituency executive committee officials in Livingstone on Saturday.
Mr Evans said that the truck is to be used in the mobilisation of the party and the ongoing voter and NRC registration, especially in rural areas.
“We were handicapped with transport in the district and most of the money came from my pocket. As you are aware, I am a businessman. I went out of my way to come and help the party with this truck,” Mr Evans said, who is also Deputy Minister of Livestock and Fisheries.
He urged party members to put the truck to good use adding that he wanted to see the results at the end of the day.
“I will deposit a K15,000 for fuel with one of the local filling stations in the tourist capital and also give K30,000 to the party for mobilisation,” he said.
Mr Evans is confident that the party is doing well adding that there is need to work hard so that the party wins the 2016 general elections.
He appealed to party members who left the party and joined other political parties to consider rejoining the ruling party because it is committed to developing the country.
