LOOKING at the weather patterns, it is obvious that climate change is real. Most of us never understood what it meant; we thought it was a Western concept that would not affect us.
Years back, by this time of the year, farmers would have finished planting their fields but now it’s no longer the case.
Farming is now a gamble because rains come very late and stop much earlier than expected.
It is the same climate change that is affecting the rest of the world with calamities like fires, tsunamis, droughts, floods, hurricanes and earthquakes.
This calls for a change in the way we manage the environment, otherwise there will be no planet to talk about for our grandchildren and their children.
The time is now to seriously find new and innovative ways of protecting the planet in order to prevent it from any further damage.
