Cleaning of Lusaka CBD by PF members good gesture

Dear editor,
LUSAKA was first hit by a cholera outbreak in October and the cases have been rising.

It is not a common phenomenon for cholera to break out during the hot season.
What is certain is that the disease breaks out during the rainy season.
Cholera is a waterborne disease which is caused mainly due to poor hygienic conditions.
These include, among others, drinking contaminated water, eating unclean pre-cooked foodstuffs sold on the streets, eating uncovered foods, failure to wash hands with soap after using the toilet and the list goes on.
The Patriotic Front (PF) members from wards and constituencies within Lusaka Province showed patriotism by cleaning the central business district on Sunday December 17, 2017.
This is in view of the high cholera cases in the high density areas such as Kanyama, Mandevu and Misisi, among others.
Indeed, this is a good gesture by the Patriotic Front (PF) members. It is said that politics is about rendering a service towards people’s well-being in all spheres of life.
