Clean-up reveals human waste

CHOMBA MUSIKA, Lusaka
ANOTHER cholera outbreak may hit Lusaka if residents do not stop indiscriminate disposal of waste, Minister in the Office of the Vice-President Sylvia Chalikosa has warned.
And six people have been jailed for two weeks for indiscriminate disposal of waste.
Ms Chalikosa is disappointed with the continued indiscriminate disposal of waste in some parts of the city, Lusaka is courting waterborne diseases.
She said this yesterday during a ‘Keep Zambia Clean, Green and Healthy’ clean-up exercise held every last week of every month.
“My biggest concern is that we may have another cholera outbreak if we do not keep our surroundings clean,” Ms Chalikosa said when she led a team Lusaka City Council (LCC) officials in cleaning up selected parts of the city http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
