CIT hails ‘Stop girl sexual abuse in schools’ campaign

DARLINGTON MWEND¬ABAI, Chipata
COMMUNITY Interventions Trust (CIT),a Chipata-based non-governmental organisation,has hailed the launch of ‘Stop girl sexual abuse in schools’ campaign in Eastern Province.

The campaign was launched last week by provincial deputy permanent secretary Patrick Mwanawasa in Chipata.

The region in the first quarter of 2017 recorded 577 cases of girls dropping out of school because of pregnancies and early marriages.
CIT director Veronica Mulonga said the launch of the campaign is timely and should be supported by all.
