Choma council sticks to Harmony land fees

Government complex.

JIMMY CHIBUYE, Choma
CHOMA deputy mayor Choolwe Mubambasu says the council will not reduce application fees for plots in Harmony despite Choma Central Member of Parliament (MP) Cornelius Mweetwa’s demand to cut them by half.Last week, Mr Mweetwa said Choma Municipal Council had over-priced application fees for the plots and urged the local authority to revise them downwards.
The council has advertised residential and commercial plots in an area called Harmony, about 10 kilometres away from the central business district and has pegged application fees at between K250 and K2,000.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
