THE quest to eradicate cholera has taken a new twist. While fresh cases have continued reducing countrywide, Lusaka’s George township has become an epicentre of the disease after it suddenly recorded 16 new cases by 06:00 hours yesterday.
This comes as other hard-hit townships like Kanyama, Matero, Chawama and Chipata recorded only 28 new cases as at 06:00 hours yesterday. At the peak of the epidemic over 200 people were taken ill.
Of the 28 new cases, Kanyama had eight, Chipata five, Chawama three, while Matero, which neighbours George township, had six.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
