Chipolopolo drop on FIFA standings

ZAMBIA has dropped by three rungs to 91st position on the FIFA Coca-Cola world rankings while African champions Cameroon climbed by 29 steps.
The Chipolopolo has also dropped by one rung to 22nd position in Africa.
The national team has not been in action in the last three months.
The rankings released in Zurich, Switzerland, yesterday saw Egypt shoot to the summit in Africa replacing Senegal who have been relegated to second position.
Egypt lost 2-1 to Cameroon in the Africa Cup of Nations final in Libreville last Sunday while Senegal reached the quarter-finals.
Cameroon are third on the continent and 33rd globally.
The Indomitable Lions are in the same group with Zambia in the 2018 Russia World Cup qualifying race. Others in Group B are Nigeria and Algeria.
Nigeria are seventh in Africa and 41st overall while Algeria are pegged 11th on the continent and 50th on the FIFA standings.
Guinea Bissau, Zambia’s opponents in the 2019 Cameroon Africa Cup of Nations, are 19th on the continent and 80th globally.
Namibia occupy the 26th position in Africa and 99th in the world and Mozambique are 31st on the continent and 104th overall.
Argentina has maintained the top position on the FIFA standings with rivals Brazil and world champions Germany in second and third slots respectively.
