THE brilliant idea of kind-hearted Chipembi Girls Secondary School teachers in Chisamba to sponsor vulnerable pupils is commendable and needs the support of all well-meaning teachers and other workers.The teachers, instead of condemning Government, have come up with a ‘Teacher bursary scheme’ in which each teacher contributes a K30 monthly to support the vulnerable but viable pupils for the next five years.
This will not only reduce the financial challenge faced by the pupils but also lessen the drop out at the school.
If all teachers and other people in privileged positions did what the Chipembi school teachers have done, Zambia will be a better place to live.
