Chipangali’s Chitandika closes dark past

ENGIE Power Corner is a French energy company that is setting foot in Zambia with renewable energy solutions that have already started transforming people’s lives.
The company has invested US$300, 000 (equivalent to K3.6million) for a 28kilowatt first ever smart solar mini grid plant at Chitandika Village in Chief Chinunda’s area of Chipangali District, about 65 kilometres north of Chipata in Eastern Province.
Demographically, Chitandika Village has at least 378 households and an estimated population of over 1,500 inhabitants.
110 houses, businesses such as hammer mills, welding machines, shops and public facilities like Chiziye Day Secondary School, Chiziye Primary School and Chinunda Rural Health Centre have already been connected to the solar mini grid.  http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
