Chinsali court adjourns bricklayer’s case

THE Chinsali magistrate’s court has adjourned a case in which a 41-year-old bricklayer and 31-year-old businessman are charged with illegal possession of hippo meat.
This is in a case in which Fred Kangwa and Morgan Chewe, both of Mucheleka village in Chinsali, were charged with unlawfully possession of trophy of a protected animal.
It is alleged that on April 12 this year in Chinsali, the suspects had two kilogrammes of hippo meat without a certificate of ownership from the Department of National Parks and Wildlife.
