WHILE we appreciate that finally the Government has started reconstructing major roads in Chingola, there is need for the contractors to speed up the works.
The travelling public is being inconvenienced because of the works.
Imagine a 15 minutes journey from Chingola to Chililabombwe is now taking one hour.
A balance should be struck between quality work and timely completion.
There is also need for water bowsers to water the gravel road to settle down the dust.
I am very optimistic that the contractors will do a better job than those ‘red lions’ that previously did shoddy works in Chingola.
