Chingola roads get rehab

NKHUWA

NKWETO MFULA, Chingola
REHABILITATION of roads in Chingola has started following the launch of the Zambia Township Road project by President Lungu on

the Copperbelt recently.
Minister of Works and Supply Matthew Nkhuwa says the commencement of the road works is an indication of Government’s commitment to improving living standards of the people.
Mr Nkhuwa said an improved road network is key to economic development of any district and the nation as a whole.
He said this on Saturday after he inspected the road works, which are being undertaken by Avic International Limited.
“Our appeal to Chingola residents is to co-operate with the contractor during the construction works as it may be inconvenienced,” he said.
Mr Nkhuwa, who is Chingola member of Parliament, said Government is committed to uplifting the living conditions of Chingola residents and all Zambians at large.
He said President Lungu launched the Zambia Township Road project on the Copperbelt to ensure that the bad roads in the mining region are improved to stimulate economic activities.
