China Jiangxi to use drones on Lusaka-Ndola road works

CHINA Jiangxi Corporation has started using drones to capture data for geotechnical works and road designs aimed at speeding up the construction of the US$1.2 billion Lusaka-Ndola dual carriageway.

The usage of the new technology such as drones, which have been approved by the Civil Aviation Authority and the Zambia Air Force, will expedite the carrying out of geotechnical works and road designs that usually take three years to complete.

This came to light when Central Province Permanent Secretary Chanda Kabwe visited the project site office in Kabwe on Wednesday that the company is using latest technology in trying to meet the deadline of the project that will take 48 months to complete.
