KABWE Warriors believe the transfer of defender Zacharia Chilongoshi to Power Dynamos is good business
for the club, especially in the current climate where player values have tumbled as teams prepare to cut spending after the coronavirus pandemic weakened their revenues.
The Super Division side sold Chilongoshi, who in January extended his contract at Railways Stadium to 2020, to Power for K280,000, a figure that has raised eyebrows with some supporters feeling that he could have gone for an even bigger fee.
But Warriors chairman Hayden Dingwall believes the club has benefitted from the deal.
“It was good business for us because football has been affected by coronavirus, clubs do not have money, maybe just Zesco United but everyone is struggling,” Dingwall said. CLICK TO READ MORE
