NATIONAL cruiserweight champion Douglas ‘Buster’ Chilembe is targeting two title fights before quitting professional boxing.

Chilembe, 45, has since challenged his opponents for a showdown.
He said in an interview in Chingola yesterday that he is yearning for two fights as a way of thanking his fans.
Chilembe, a former Global Boxing Union Africa cruiserweight champion, boasted that he is the only Zambian professional boxer to finish 12 rounds.
“I know there is no Zambian who can match me. Maybe if they are there, let them come out and challenge me for the cruiserweight title fight,” he said.
The Chingola-based boxer’s last fight was an international non-title fight in 2014 at Kinshasa Stadium in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Chilembe is also a former national middleweight and light heavyweight champion.
Meanwhile, Chilembe, who is also Genesis Boxing Stables director, said there is need to support boxing as it can create employment for youths.
Chilembe has commended Sealkinz Investment for partnering with his stable to promote the sport in Chingola.
“We are happy that one of the local investors [Sealkinz Investment] has come on board to support us, it is something others should emulate if boxing is to improve on the Copperbelt. We want most of the street kids interested in boxing to also be trained,” he said.
He appealed to the corporate world to emulate Sealkinz Investment.
