Chilambwe breaks losing jinx

FAITH Chilambwe finally broke her losing jinx at the 2014 World Youth Chess Championships in Durban, South Africa when she beat Delfina Joao of Angola on Tuesday.
Chilambwe, playing in the under-16 category, had lost five of her previous game but maintained her faith and chalked up a victory over the Angolan in the second match of the day.
According to results posted on the tournament’s website, the Zambian lost to Nicole Sagho of Togo in the earlier game of the day.
In the boys’ 16 category, Elias Musonda improved his points tally to 2.5 after a win and draw in the games played on Tuesday.
