Chief Nsamba appeals to ZICTA for mobile phone network

CHIEF Nsamba of the Uunga people of Lunga district in Luapula Province has appealed to the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) to address the lack of mobile phone network in his chiefdom.
The traditional leader said in Lunga at the weekend ZICTA should look into the plight of the people living in the Bangweulu Wetlands, which includes the district.
He said people have been deprived of the right to communication for a month now.
Chief Nsamba said despite the poor network being experienced in other parts of the country, Lunga district is the worst affected because there is completely no network.
The traditional leader said this when he visited ZANIS offices in Lunga district.
He said ZICTA is there to remind and help the mobile phone service providers to find a solution to the poor or lack of network in the district.
Chief Nsamba said it was sad that there had been no network in Lunga since November 20, 2015.
The situation, which the traditional leader said the situation is inconveniencing the entire people of Lunga district and that there
has not been any explanation as to what has happened.-ZANIS
