Chess body calls for 10 medals

SYLVESTER CHISHIMBA, Lusaka
THE Chess Federation of Zambia (CFZ) has urged the 32 players that will do battle at next month’s Africa Youth Chess Championship to win at least 10 medals.
CFZ general secretary Chanda Nsakanya said yesterday that the players have been undergoing intensive training for the last three weeks.
Nsakanya said CFZ has selected players with experience of competing at international competitions.
“The team is made up of some players who have participated in this tournament [Africa Youth Chess Championship] for five years. I know that the team will excel at this year’s championship in South Africa,” he said.READ MORE
