Dear editor,
Kindly allow me to comment on an incident I witnessed involving a woman who wanted to buy medicine from Chemopharm in Ndola.
When I entered the chemist, I saw a woman who wanted to buy some drugs but she was not allowed to purchase it because she could not produce a prescription.
The action by the pharmacist made the woman look desperate while holding the money in her hand. The drugstore attendant stood firm, especially that the woman was not sure of the pronunciation of the name of the medicine she wanted to buy.
A prescription plays an important role in enhancing smooth relations between medical facilities and other r drug dealers. I commend the Chemopharm staff for taking such action because it shows he was not interested in the money but in the health of the customer.
