Check facts, Lungu tells partners

PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has urged cooperating partners not to believe falsehoods being peddled about Zambia’s debt situation but should always endeavour to check facts with Government.
The head of State has also said the country has not been sold or mortgaged any of its assets to offset foreign debt as reported by some sections of the media.
Opening the World Bank’s International Development Association (IDA) mid-term review meeting here yesterday, Mr Lungu assured Eurobond lenders, bilateral and multilateral partners that their money is safe.
