Mr Chato was speaking after successfully building 42 houses, which were recently commissioned by Minister of Home Affairs Stephen Kampyongo recently.
He said Avic International is now building 10 multi-storey high cost and 109 medium cost houses.
Mr Chato, who visited the construction site at Mukobeko Correctional Camp with other senior officers from the service, said Avic International is doing a commendable job.
“I think the pace of work is so impressive and we are informed that the 10 high-cost houses will be completed in November, and for low-cost, it’s a one year project,” Mr Chato said.
He said an additional 86 houses will also be built near Mukobeko Correctional Camp.
Mr Chato said when the houses are completed, they will help address the shortage of accommodation in the service.
