Charcoal business ‘burns’ marriage

A WIFE’S decision to help her husband provide for the family by starting a business has backfired and instead earned her a divorce certificate.
Adson Luvweyi, 45, felt insecure over the decision by his wife, Priscilla Mweetwa, 41, to start a business which would have kept her away from home for a month each time she travelled.
Luvweyi told Buchi senior local court Magistrate Patricia Mulwimba that his wife’s decision is what prompted him to sue for divorce.
The couple got married in 1992 and have six children.
