PRISONS 0 ARROWS 82
CHAMPIONS Red Arrows on Saturday gave demoted Prisons a humiliating send-off to the lower division in a National Rugby League rescheduled Week 12 match in Kabwe.
Unbeaten Arrows posted 12 tries and eight conversions.
Kabwe Musonda and Sydney Mwansapa scored two tries each with Terry Kaushiku, Mutinta Malambo, Emmanuel Daka, Enock Mutembo, Goodhope Mwewa, David Chalwe, Patson Chola and William Daka contributing a try apiece.
Kaushiku added eight conversions to ensure Arrows won the match with a bonus point.
The victory pushed Arrows to 57 points, second-placed Chibuluma are on 43 points while tail-enders Prisons ended the campaign with only seven points.
Arrows coach Mwamba Chishimba lauded his charges for the resounding victory.
“We used most of the players that did not have enough game time. They played very well as they had hunger to do the team proud. We just want to thank our sponsors and the executive committee for their support.
“They gave us all the support in good and bad times,” Chishimba said.
DIGGERS 14 NKWAZI 33
‘Men at Work’ Diggers disappointed their fans when they went down to Nkwazi in another formality match at Nkana West Rugby Field in Kitwe.
Peter Litika, Andrew Mwape, David Chimbukuli, Emirio Satucci and Mathews Kashweka placed a try each that secured Nkwazi a rare away victory over Diggers.
Mwape and Laston Mukosa delivered two conversions each.
Nkwazi have 47 points while Diggers, who host Arrows in a rescheduled match in Kitwe this Saturday, have 24 points.
Prisons and Mufulira have been demoted to the lower division and will be replaced by promoted Green Buffaloes and Kitwe Playing Fields.
