Chainama captain tournament attracts more

ROBINSON KUNDA, Lusaka
TAX and audit firm HLB sponsored Chainama Golf Club season closing captain’s tournament has been oversubscribed with over 260 golfers

registering for the event.
And Chainama Golf Club captain James Chona says he will not seek re-election at next month’s polls.
HLB business development consultant Michael Chola said in an interview in Lusaka that the tournament that swung in action yesterday has attracted the highest number of competitors this year.
“We are happy with the turnout. This is our golf club calendar closing ceremony so we are very happy that so many people have come to compete,” Chola said.
He said it is gratifying that a cadre of golfers have turned up for the two-day event.
“Sponsoring this tournament is purely part of our corporate social responsibly. We spent about K100,000 to have this tournament and we are happy with the level of competition,” Chola said.
He said the company decided to sponsor the event as a way of bidding farewell to Chona.
Chola said they enjoyed a good working relationship with Chona.
And Chona praised HLB for pumping money into the event.
