THE National Union for Small-scale Farmers of Zambia (NUSFAZ) says farmers have capacity to supply produce to chain stores and that Government should come up with a deliberate policy that will assist them access improved farming techniques and irrigation technology.
Last Friday during his third national address on the coronavirus pandemic, President Edgar Lungu directed the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry to ensure that chain stores prioritise local agricultural products in their localities.
