CEEC invests K120m in industrial yards

TRYNESS TEMBO, Lusaka
THE Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) has so far invested about K120 million in the construction of industrial yards in nine districts to promote participation of Zambians in the manufacturing sector.

Last year, CEEC set aside a US$200 million for the development of industrial yards to capture small-scale enterprises involved in the manufacturing of various products across the country.

Of the total industrial yards, six tenders were already in progress for Chipata, Kasama, Solwezi, Kitwe, Ndola and Mongu and closed on Friday.
