CEEC financial flaws irk PAC

STEVEN MVULA, Lusaka
CONTINUED financial irregularities at the Citizens’ Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) has irked Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairperson Vincent Mwale.
Mr Mwale told Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry Permanent Secretary Siazongo Siakalenge, who was in the company of CEEC director general Likando Mukumbuta, that PAC is disappointed to see the CEEC appear before the committee again.
He said this yesterday when CEEC appeared before PAC to answer financial queries highlighted in the Auditor-General’s report for the year 2012.
CEEC appeared before PAC to answer financial queries such as unretired imprest amounting to K142,000 issued to 26 officers.
