Can MackyII, little-known Resa do it for Zambia in BBA HotShots

IN THE lead up to today’s official launch, hip hop artiste MackyII was seen counting down the days and asking his fans to show support by increasing the likes on his freshly created Big Brother Africa (BBA) Facebook fan page.
His Facebook page has now garnered over 11,000 likes, after its creation on September 24, a show of his popularity among Zambian hip-hop followers.
MackyII, whose real name is Mulaza Kaira, generally has seemed enthusiastic about his participation in BBA season 9, which is being marketed with a “Hotshots” theme.
His fans seem confident that the right man will be representing them in the BBA house that will attract the watching eyes of the African continent.
“Don’t disappoint Zambians,” one fan remarked on the official MackyII BBA page.
We are behind you bro, no matter what,” was Bruno Mukuka’s reassurance to MackyII.
Another fan, Mark Kalemba asked MackyII to make Zambia proud, while Prince Mukonko’s demands were simply that MackyII should bring the US$300,000 prize money home.
Zambia’s second representative, the 25-year-old Theresa Liteta, known simply as Resa also has a Facebook page dedicated to her BBA participation that has attracted over 3,000 likes.
Once she is in the house and depending on whether or not she impresses, those likes are expected to go up.
In season seven, Mampi Mukape was the first artiste from Zambia to take part in BBA as a celebrity housemate.
The experience has since added to her international profile as she has performed in different countries within and outside Africa.
For now, it is left to be seen if MackyII will live up to the hype surrounding his participation and be able to win the support of fans across Africa.
