PRESIDENT Lungu says opposition political parties are free to campaign in all parts of the country and be accorded equal media coverage without any hindrance ahead of the August 11 general elections.
And President Lungu has called on the church not to relent but to continue praying for peaceful elections and not ‘Armageddon’ as perceived by some opposition political parties.
Mr Lungu said it is important for Zambians to edify one another despite belonging to different political parties.
“We are going to give our friends time to campaign countrywide and also to place adverts on the public television station and newspapers. If they insult us, we will turn one cheek for another cheek,” he said.
The President was speaking in Chingola yesterday when he attended a church service at http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
