THE letter by a former Chizongwe Technical Secondary School pupil in the Daily Mail, highlighting the state of depreciation of the school infrastructure, particularly in comparison to the spanking brand new Edgar Lungu Technical Secondary School in Petauke, could not have come at a better time than now.
The call comes in the wake of the tremendous amount of work being put in by a group of dedicated alumni of the school, with graduating years spanning decades in the illustrious history of the school, in mobilising resources to upgrade infrastructure, help vulnerable pupils, among many other initiatives.
A lot has already been achieved on the ground but a lot more still needs to be done via affirmative and coordinated efforts of all former pupils.
This is what has prompted the call for a general meeting in Lusaka to be held at the Munali Secondary School hall on April 6, 2019 starting at 09:00 hours.
In addition to the structuring of the revamp initiatives, the meeting plans to elect a substantive body of office bearers from the alumni to spearhead all efforts of helping the school.
May as many former pupils as is possible attend.
