CAF fines Guinea $5,000 for pitch invasion

THE Confederation of African Football (CAF) has fined Guinea Bissau US$5,000 for pitch invasion and poor security during the 2017 Gabon Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Zambia at Estadio 24 de Setembro.
According to the communique by the CAF media channel, Guinea Bissau, who made a historic Africa Cup of Nations qualification after beating Zambia 3-2, did not provide enough security on June 4.
Guinea Bissau leads Group E with 10 points, with a game remaining.
Congo Brazzaville and Zambia have six points apiece, two better than Kenya.
