Bwalya Musonda to work with orphans

DETERMINED to reach out to many, Zambian young model Bwalya Musonda shared a story about her intentions to work with orphans, especially those at Theresa Orphanage in Kabwe.
Geared to bring out her best in modelling, Musonda, 22, plans to work and help improve the wellbeing of orphans in the country.
“I know what orphans go through and it’s not easy. I want to help out and show them the love which they need,” she said.
Signed under Face of Global Beauties International, Musonda has so far managed to participate in beauty pageants such as Miss Pageant Zambia and Miss Youth Zambia.
Already, she is making strides in her career and she has been picked to participate in the Miss Universal Peace and Humanity Pageant scheduled for Lebanon and Cyprus on October 16 and 21 respectively.
She told the WEEKEND MAIL that her participation in the first ever Miss Universal Peace and Humanity Pageant will accord her an opportunity to compete on an international level.
The event is focused on promoting peace around the world and will now be an annual occasion.
“I have confidence in myself and I feel that I will carry the Zambian flag to greater heights. I’m determined to add my mark to Zambia’s new talents in catwalk and fashion,” she said.
Musonda draws her inspiration from Zambia’s top model Petita Mwanza.
“Her [Petita Mwanza’s] experience is amazing as it inspires me not to give up on what I want to achieve in life,” Musonda said.
