Bwale picks 28 for South Africa tie


ZAMBIA women’s national team coach Charles Bwale has summoned 28 players ahead of Sunday’s international friendly against South Africa.
Team manager Besa Chibwe, who released the names yesterday, said the team is camped at Rainbow Lodge in Lusaka.
Both Zambia and South Africa will be using the match billed for Lusaka’s Nkoloma Stadium to prepare for the 2014 Namibia Africa Women Championship finals.
Meanwhile, Bwale said the friendly will help the She-polo-polo to fine-tune for the Namibia finals.
He urged the players to take the match seriously.
At the tournament in Windhoek, Zambia are in Group A alongside Ivory Coast, Nigeria and hosts Namibia while South Africa are in Group B with Algeria, Cameroon and Ghana.
The tournament will be held from October 11 to 25.
The team comprises Kabange Mupopo, Emeldah Musonda, Annie Kibanji, Ethel Chama, Rachela Lungu, Hazel Nali, Mary Mwakapila, Susan Banda, Chawaka Saili and Hellen Mubanga,
Others are Ruth Mukisi, Etas Banda, Noria Sosala, Cynthia Mutale, Grace Zulu, Mary Kalimwanya, Lwendo Chisamu, Misozi Zulu, Tiza Chibale, Miriam Katamanda,
The rest are Nyais Moga, Macklin Daka, Esther Mukwasa, Wendy Kunda, Debora Chisanga, Anita Mulenga, Delly Lumwaya and Grace Chanda.
