Bwale said at a briefing here on Thursday that women football in Zambia is already yielding fruits.
“I know people might be disappointed with the performance of the team here [Africa Women Championship]. But this is football and there’re three results in it [win, draw and loss]. People should understand and bear with us. There is always a firs time,” Bwale said.
Zambia lost 0-2 to Namibia and 0-6 to Nigeria to exit the tournament in the first round.
And Australia-based striker Carol Howes said the team has learnt a lot from the tournament.
